The 3rd Meeting of China-Afghanistan Intergovernmental Joint Committee of Economics and Trade Held in Beijing
On December 4, the 3rd meeting of the Joint Committee of Economics and Trade between the governments of the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was held in Beijing. Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan and Afghan Minister of Finance Hakimi co-chaired the meeting. Focusing on promoting the construction of the Belt and Road jointly, both sides mainly exchanged ideas on expanding bilateral trade, investment, infrastructure, interconnectivity, people's livelihood, personnel’s communication and cooperation. Broad consensuses have been reached. After the meeting, Gao and Hakimi signed related documents on trade and economic cooperation.
